The
Carden Recreation Centre, is Home
Base for the Festival.
With the exception of
the Saturday night Banquet, all events begin and end at the Centre.
The fully accessible, air conditioned
upper floor of the hall will be overflowing with nature related,
vendor and information booths.
The
Exhibit Hall will be open from 9:00a.m. – 6:00pm. On Saturday June 7
and Sunday June 8 only.
Numerous vendors will provide you with some outstanding
products: photographic prints and CD’s; wood sculptures; jewellery;
walking sticks; rustic furniture; folk art; wrought iron garden
ornamentals ; optics; note cards; oil and water coloured paintings;
clothing attire; books etc… Something for everyone to take away as a
memento of the Festival!
There
are no ATM machines available, so it would be wise to have some cash
on hand...you won’t want to miss out on some great opportunities!
If its
information you are looking for, representatives from numerous
organizations will be on hand to assist you, including: The Nature
Conservancy of Canada; Wildlife Preservation Canada; Ontario Nature;
The Couchiching Conservancy; Victoria Land and Water Stewardship
council; Kids for Turtles; the Orillia and Carden Field Naturalists’
Clubs; Invenergy and others.
There will be many
presentations taking place in the lower hall all weekend long and
a children’s art display featured on the upper hall stage. A variety
of food products including “take-out” sandwiches and fruit and drinks
will be available all weekend.
The Friday night BBQ and
the Saturday children’s program take place in the pavilion in the park
behind the Centre. Clean and bright washrooms are available on both
upper and lower level.
The
Recreation Centre is “the place to be” between scheduled events. |
