“Invenergy Canada is proud to continue as a leading sponsor of the Couchiching Conservancy and the 2nd annual Carden Nature Festival.  As a leading developer of clean energy projects, Invenergy is pleased to continue our partnership with The Couchiching Conservancy, which has developed a strong reputation for the numerous successful initiatives it has pioneered.  In particular, Invenergy was proud to sponsor in 2007 the purchase and installation of two new water wells with solar powered pumps for the Windmill Ranch property in the Carden Alvar. This year we look forward to assisting with the addition of a viewing platform and small parking area for the Windmill Ranch in an area where nesting Loggerhead Shrikes can be observed.

Invenergy has a commitment to the environment of the regions where we’re active, and our proposed small scale wind farm near the town of Woodville will make an important contribution in the local fight against the damaging effects of climate change.  Every megawatt of wind power produced displaces the need for a megawatt of electricity from environmentally damaging sources such as coal power, which is a leading contributor to air pollution and acid rain.  By harnessing the power of the wind, together we can create a healthier future.  We hope that you will join us at this years Carden Nature Festival and stop by our booth to learn more about our exciting projects.”

For the second year, Casino Rama has agreed to sponsor the Carden Nature Festival through its Community Wellness Program.  As a major employer in the Orillia area, Casino Rama annually contributes hundreds of thousands of dollars to local non-profit organizations engaged in providing community benefits.  They have supported a range of environmental projects by The Couchiching Conservancy, including major projects on the Carden Alvar.
