Alvar Road |
| This gravel road between Lake Dalrymple Rd. and CKL #35 is closed in winter, and can be difficult for cars in
very wet periods, especially east of Wylie Rd. Cut through a forested section
with small alvar openings, it will require quiet listening and walking to fully
appreciate the surroundings. Stop frequently and look for Hermit Thrush,
Magnolia Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, White-throated Sparrow, Purple Finch
and Indigo Bunting. A wide variety of Butterflies and Dragonflies are all
around.
