Cranberry Lake |
|
Located on Cranberry Lake Rd. (Seasonal road – low clearance vehicles use caution). In the nearby fields, look for Horned Larks and Lapland Longspurs in the early spring. As you drive northwards up Cranberry Lake Road, beware of turtles crossing to nest in May and June. As you enter the treed area, the wetlands surrounding Cranberry Lake are on your right, with an extensive floating organic mat. You can catch glimpses of the lake, but trespass is not permitted. You may see Black Terns and Common Loons, and Sandhill Cranes are frequently heard in this area.
