Don't neglect the extensive
grasslands to the south of Kirkfield and Bolsover. This southern part of the
Carden Plain supports the greatest abundance and variety of bird species in the
area. You may spot a Loggerhead
Shrike as well as Upland Sandpipers, Meadowlarks, Savannah and Grasshopper
Sparrows, Northern Harriers, and a host of others.
